Agricultural Quarantine Support Project (Phases 1 & 2)
To provide support and strengthening to the Quarantine Service, including provision of new housing, office facilities, and equipment, throughout the country. Many of the sites were at remote locations with logistical and accessibility constraints
Alexander & Lloyd Australia Pty Ltd provided the Facilities Manager / Architect and carried out extensive in-country investigations regarding land and building availability; design requirements for office accommodation; housing types and options. This required extensive in-country travel to inspect and interview personnel at all 19 Quarantine sites throughout the country. Subsequent services included full design, documentation, cost planning, pre-qualification of contractors, tendering and reporting, contract formation and contract administration throughout the construction and defects liability period.
